Feels like a gimmick, but the ice cream is actually so good. Would definitely recommend trying out multiple flavours along with one of the matcha ones. They're all very unique and taste super good! Definitely worth a short out of the way visit!
A matcha tea shop that sells seven grades of ice cream and other matcha products. I had the grade 7 matcha and a gyokuro ice cream (¥720). The gyokuro had a nice gentle taste of green tea, while the grade 7 matcha left a good depth of flavour. This is great for hot summer days. Do note that there is seating outside. The shop also has products like cold brew tea which is interesting to me, as they all have descriptors of their flavour profiles. I saw a number of people get the premium matcha bars (¥1944), which has matcha bars of different strengths.
This place is a must-visit for matcha lovers. But it’s quite a bit of walking distance from nearby stations.
I visited here some time around 2017 or 2018 before covid and visited again this year. Just would be more happy if they would change the flavors a bit.
I heard their chocolate is good for souvenirs even though I didn’t buy them because the weather was too hot. I don’t want to risk having them all melted.
I’m a big matcha lover and I’m constantly searching for places that sell high quality matcha products. I have to say this is by far the best matcha shop I’ve ever been to!
I had to try the no.7 matcha ice cream and it was the most concentrated, creamy, umami and rich matcha ice cream that I’ve ever tried.
I also bought the popular premium matcha chocolate. The chocolate set comes with matcha chocolate in 7 levels (no. 1-7, with no. 7 being the most concentrated one) and 2 hojicha flavoured chocolate. Again, the chocolates were so rich and creamy.
I’m already missing the matcha ice cream, hopefully I can visit Japan again soon!
Went there to try the different level of Matcha as they said this is the place where you could find authentic matcha ice cream
To be honest, it lives up to its standard, even the Goma ice cream is good too.
Recommended to go for level 5 or higher if you like your matcha strong and not too sweet :)
I tried both famous 7 levels of matcha shops and I like this one better because it’s much calmer. I went 30 minutes before closing and they were still refilling with new batches and I was able to get the no 7. The other shop ran out of no 7 in the middle of the day and it’s incredibly crowded and busy.
I got the no 7 and matcha lemon that has little lemon peels in it, plus they gave me a sample of their matcha chocolate biscuit. ⭐️
Got the no.6 and no.7 and they weren’t as strong as expected, but in a good way. The ice cream is really light and you can tell it’s not much sugar added.
We also tried their black sesame and Genmai cha flavors, which felt very icey. So if you’re coming here to try the matcha, best to just get that as the price is rather high for what you get.
We got the No.4 matcha flavor and thought that was so so good; the No.7 is a little too heavy. Also tried the sesame and strawberry and both were REALLY good, especially the sesame. Highly recommend this place.
